The making of COLD - a short film

Monday, September 18, 2006

I got up early this morning so I could call Denson in Sydney and have a chat about what camera equipment and lights he wants for the shoot. I want to shoot the film in 2.35:1 ratio so we decided we will probably shoot in 3 perf so we don't have to use anamorphic lenses. Denson explained to me that this means we are also using 25% less film. Sounds good to me. He gave me an 'ideal' list of what he wants. Hopefully we can make it happen if we get some funding.

I found a couple of great websites today. One is the FFF (Film Fernseher Fonds) and Film Commission of Bavaria site. This was awesome and exactly what I needed. Lots of helpful information and pretty much everything you need to know about shooting in Munich. Huge lists of services and contacts...and it was in English! Great! Yesterday I also stumbled on regie.de and this was also good. Regie is the German word for Director. I posted an ad in the classifieds that I am looking for a producer. No bites yet.
